Maaco Paint Co. in Mexico’s southern Sonora state is making a name for itself in the paint industry by producing high-quality, affordable paints for cars, trucks and SUVs.
The plant employs nearly 1,000 workers, mostly young and unemployed, and is known for its high-volume paint production, according to Reuters.
The company said in a statement on Wednesday that it has more than $30 million in cash on hand as of mid-April and is making further investments.
“Maaco Paint has long been recognized for our quality products and our commitment to sustainable production and innovation,” said CEO Daniel Valls.
“The company is proud of the achievements it has achieved in the automotive and paint industries, and we look forward to continuing to build on our progress and to further expand its portfolio.”
